
The results of different studies investigating Mexican secondary school students' attitudes towards mathematics are presented and discussed. Attitudes were studied in relation to the use or not of technology, the school year and gender. The relation between attitude and achievement is emphasized. Finally, we briefly reflect on how the results of a study may be influenced by the methodology employed. We stress the usefulness of homogenizing it in order to facilitate comparisons between different socio-cultural groups.
